I Just Don't Understand...

Why give white actors the roles of Inuit people? Why? And I'm just curious why M. Night Shyamalan even chose these kids in the first place. Obviously he's not basing it off looks. But what about talent? I'm sure there's enough talent behind Jesse McCartney and Noah Ringer to fuel the movie...and earn as much as a mere half-budget gross revenue. Don't get me wrong, Dev Patel is a very talented actor...but does he have the appearance?

Bloggers all across the web are complaining about the mistakes Shyamalan has made in choosing his cast. They lack the appearance, some even the acting experience, but at least Shyamalan can ensure us the martial arts facet of the movie.

  1. If I could go back in time and do one thing... just one thing. and I mean of all the wonderful things i could do or prevent it would most definitely be to go back in time and prevent M. Night Shyamalan from becoming a film director.

seriously. Avatar has the potential to be the next Star Wars. I would rather this movie never be made. I'm sorry, but no. Why can't he take this totally wrong cast and just make another High School Musical movie.

  2. The guy's obviously devoted to the film, I don't think he'd pick people who wouldn't do the film justice. Its amazing what costume and makeup can do.

  3. Hey google Bronson Pelletier he's not necessarily an Inuit. But he's First Nation and looks a lot like Sokka plus he's an actor. I wish he was casted they never cast Native-American Indian actors unless it's to portray savages or Historical films...
